Physiotherapy is a health care profession that assesses, diagnoses, treats and works to prevent diseases and disability through physical means. It is concerned with identifying and maximizing the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, treatment/ intervention, habilitation and rehabilitation. Physical therapy can help you at any stage of life, when movement or function is affected by ageing, injury, disease, dysfunction, condition or environmental factors.

The physiotherapy department at Eden Medical Centre provides a comprehensive range of habilitation and rehabilitation services and facilities for both inpatient and out patients. Our facilities and state of the art rehabilitation equipments ensures that our patients receive the highest level of care available. The department provides care to patients of all ages who have impairment, activity limitation and participation restriction due to: orthopaedic/ musculoskeletal (Arthritis, Fracture, Myopathies etc), Neurological disorders (Stroke, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinsonism etc), Paediatric disorders (Cerebral palsy, developmental delays, Erbs palsy etc), Gynaecological conditions (incontinence, diastesis rectii etc), and sports conditions (Sprains, strains, etc).

Facilities and services available are: Electrotherapy (Electrical stimulation, Ultrasound therapy, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, Interferential therapy, Infra Red Radiation therapy, Traction etc), Exercise therapy (joint/ soft tissue mobilisation, Neuro developmental therapy, myofascial release, therapeutic exercise, sports specific therapy etc). Apart from the above therapies we also provide specific therapy programmes (a first of its kind in Nagaland): Dry Needling Therapy, Kinesio tapping, Antenatal and Postnatal classes, Vestibular Rehabilitation Programme and Ergonomic consultation.
