The department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is headed by Consultant Dr. Mhaleneinuo Modesta Belho (MBBS, MD, DNB). This department strives to provide an emphatic, humanistic and ethical patient care for problems related to pregnancy and childbirth and gynaecological diseases. It also focuses on promotive and preventive health measures in the field of antenatal care and oncology. With all major diagnostic modalities available at the hospital and in specific relation to women diseases, the hospital also has hysterosalpingography, transvaginal ultrasonography and PAP smear testing facility. All services related to care during pregnancy, childbirth and post-delivery care for normal and high risk pregnancies would be provided.
Safe, clean and well secluded delivery units / labour rooms to make delivery more comfortable are available. Infertility management including intrauterine insemination (IUI), oncology screening and preventive (vaccination) measures for cancer cervix including management of cancer cases, family planning services (both temporary and permanent contraceptive measures, open and laparoscopic surgeries related to female conditions like removal of uterus/fibroids/ovarian cysts and malignant conditions will be done here. Also routine and emergency surgeries related to pregnancy such as cesarean sections, ectopic pregnancies etc will be available round the clock.
